Network Marketing Online works if you know how to party offline and you know how to apply the same principles to your online business.

Let me start off by saying that more than likely we all have a home that is our special place. It’s where we can express our personality and just kick back and be ourselves. It’s also usually a place to which we invite our friends and family. A place where we can socialize  with each other.

As a network marketing online professional  you need a home too. This is your blog and if you don’t have one, consider yourself  homeless!   This is where you can express your personality too and present your brand to the rest of the online world. It’s also your chance to own some online real estate where you are in control of what happens.  Right now you are visiting my online home and you are very welcome!

Of course we don’t just stay at home. We leave to attend to a variety of activities which might include going to gym, sports clubs, a friend’s dinner party, church, a job, attend a local interest group, go to bars, clubs, parties. These are all “party” opportunities for us. I use the word “party”  in its very broadest terms to mean being sociable with others.

It’s at gatherings like this that we meet other like-minded people who may share our interests and values.  We may decide we want to pursue a friendship with some of them. We could agree to meet up again somewhere in the near future. These are places where a first point of contact is made. Sometimes phone numbers or email addresses are swapped so we may stay in touch with each other like this.

What is the network marketing online equivalent?  All the social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, My Space, YouTube and so on.  These are places where we also have the opportunity to meet like-minded people and become friends with them. This does not mean pitching your opportunity or trying desperately to sell whatever it is you have. You wouldn’t do this in the real world, so why do it online? Just find common points of interest and become friends.

When we want to deepen our friendships with people offline, we might invite them to our homes where we can get to know each other  better. This is where we start to add value to each other’s lives. It’s likely that we will stay in touch with each other now and attempt to grow the relationship further.

In the online world you should invite people to your home too, your blog, where they can get to know you better. Because you will more than likely share a business interest of some kind you could offer them some value on your blog in exchange for their details. When you get this they are added to your list and you then stay in touch with them in the same way you would grow a friendship offline.

As you get to know your offline friends better, you learn to like and trust them and you support each other and help each other wherever possible. This is what friendship is all about. It’s no different online except that there is a defined common interest, business. As you get to like and trust each other, that’s when helping each other in business also occurs naturally.

The secret lies in becoming attractive to others. This is how you will attract others to you.  This is what attraction marketing is all about. You become attractive when you step up and become a leader and share your value with others. There are always people you can help and they will buy whatever it is you are offering when they like and trust you and feel sure that what you have can help them. It’s a win win situation for everybody.

So this is why I say network marketing online works if you know how to “party” off line. All you need to do is apply the exact same principles.

In doing a bit of research for this MLM Blogging Tips post I discovered that all the people I surveyed either love or hate pop up forms.

This reminded me of an ad I hear on the radio over here sometimes. It really irks me when I hear it  – loud, offensive and not very clever in my books. It’s just one of those obnoxiously annoying creations from start to finish. I’m sure you have a few of your own pet hate ads.

In  fact so annoying is the ad that an article was written about it recently and the funny thing is that although so many people dislike it,  the ad campaign is massively successful.

The point I want to make is that even though you may find something annoying, like a pop up form,

….. if it could help to bring you more leads would you put your prejudice aside?

Personally I am not attached either way to a pop up form.

I use one because it works!!

Of all the MLM Tips I could ever give you about how to prospect , this one is the most important because it’s the only one that counts when it comes to getting results.

The secret to becoming a sizzling prospector is to DO IT till you are hotter than hot!

Often when I ask people why they’re not applying what they’ve already learned about prospecting they tell me they think they  need more training. Nine times out of ten they don’t.

Training alone does not work. Have you ever wondered why despite  completing training on a certain subject, like prospecting for example, you still feel as if you need to do more and more and even more training?

It’s not because you need more training, it ‘s because you’ve not yet completed the learning process so you haven’t yet achieved any mastery. This only comes from taking action, by following the learning with experience. This is how we turn something academic into practice and from practice comes confidence. This is how we master a skill.

Would you feel confident about having a surgeon take a scalpel to your precious body if he told you he’d never done any actual surgery before but he had been studying how to do it for some time? I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t let him anywhere near me.

I learned to swim at the age of 4yrs and went on to become a successful competitive swimmer for the next 25 years.

How do you think I managed to achieve this, by sitting at the side of the pool and reading  books on how to swim? Absolutely not.

I had to get into the water. I had to get wet, learn to like and respect water and understand how my body moved when I was in it. I had to get water up my nose and in my eyes and I had to get beaten to the finish line many times. This is how I found out what I knew and what I still needed to learn and practice to get better. I became a top swimmer by doing it over and over and over again.

The same is true of anything you want to learn, including prospecting. You’re not going to be great at doing it when you start and it does not matter if you mess up. In fact you must mess up that’s how you’ll learn to get better.

You don’t have to memorize scripts or anticipate objections. Simply be absolutely convinced and confident that you have a solution that can help others. Now ask them questions and listen to find out whether you can. That’s it.

Here’s a simple model to remember when prospecting:

1. Introduction – Introduce yourself, tell them who you are and why you’re calling.
2. Establish Rapport – Connect with the person. “How long have you been living in Denver?” “I’ve got some business partners over there so I’d like to visit real soon. What do you most enjoy about where you live?”
3. Fact Finding – Ask questions to find out why they opted in for more info and to find out whether you can help them or not. “What do you do for a living?”, “How’s that working out for you?”, “What is it that brought to my site?”
4. Explain how you can help them – Once you know if you can help them then simply tell them how you can do that.

So take a deep breath and just go out and there and talk to people. Don’t worry about whether they’re going to respond favorably or not.  Regard every call as a practice to see whether you can help them or not. Learn to get good at asking questions. They should be doing the talking, not you!

“What’s Working Now?” – You’ve got to admit it’s a brilliant name for a new mlm product to be launched in next few days.

So what’s it all about? In a nutshell, the word is that this product  will end our ongoing battle with the killer information overload to which we are all subjected in the network marketing online world.

The idea is that you and I, the busy MLM entrepreneur, will be provided with a monthly short update of up to two hours in length, covering what’s  currently working  in our industry.

Brilliant! I can feel the stress draining from my body as I type….

It’s not that I don’t want to learn more and find out about what’s new and worth trying  in our fast changing industry, but how the heck does one find the time to do it all? If you’re like me you don’t, and so you feel constantly overwhelmed and frustrated and sometimes even downright anxious that you’re missing out on something very important.

How fantastic it will be to know that we don’t have to buy every new course and program released and worse still, somehow find the time to go through these.

So where did the idea for “What’s Working Now”  come from? You’ll be pleased to hear that even mega mlm stars like Mike Dillard are subject to information overload. The fact is if you want to market on line then you had better accept that learning will be a part of your life forever  more because things change very fast on the Internet.

He first conceived of the product to help himself with this problem and then wondered whether others might find it useful too. He was not quite prepared for the response he got.

After releasing a 4 minute video about the product and asking people to respond he had over 1000 comments within 24 hours, all mirroring the following sentiment:

“People keep on telling me I must take action to be successful but I’m so busy going through all the stuff telling me how to take action that I never get around to doing what I have to do”

Sound familiar?  If you relate to these same feelings of  frustration and pain that comes from spending far too much time learning how to market rather than generating more leads and more cash for your mlm business, then Mike Dillard says he has the “Online Marketing Tylenol” to solve this problem and it’s called “What’s Working Now”.

I for one can’t wait to see what this product is all about. At this point I know as much about it as I have passed on to you here. Mike Dillard has however intimated that it will be inexpensive and accessible to all.
