If I am to believe most people on Facebook, then theirs is definitely the best network marketing company hands down.  

And what criteria exactly are we considering – most product sold? highest revenue earned? biggest profit margin?  most resident gurus? because you said so?

Seriously though don’t you sometimes wonder how a given network marketing opportunity that everybody says is the best, actually stacks up against the competition?

I believe it’s  important to know what’s going on in our industry so occasionally I wander over to a  site called MLM Rankings to see how things are cooking according to them.

For those not familiar with the site, they compile an MLM directory based purely on internet public interest which is updated monthly. Here for instance are some current standings in the industry.

If you are want to see how your company stacks up against another they also have a great little feature where you can specify which companies are to be compared.

If yours does happen to be one of the top MLM companies then you can always send people to this site for some proof . Other uses for above site and also www.npros.com is to research companies when you want to write a review about them.

When all is said and done however it really does not matter because the best network marketing company is the one you are currently with if you are making money.

You will make money not because of the company but because you have become the person you must to be successful and you have learned how to market.

When you understand these important points then you will be able to make any company the best network marketing company for yourself.

Is Life path Unlimited a scam or for real? So who wants to know and why?

The word, “scam” seems to be synonymous with Internet searches for network marketing companies  when people are doing their due diligence.

Some time ago when I was a Lifepath associate I wrote an article about whether the company was a scam or not. Recently for some reason I’ve had a number of people exploring this opportunity, ask me whether I still held the same positive views since I was no longer aligned with them. I thought it was time to re-visit the subject and tell you exactly why I left the company.

What is a scam?

I define a scam to be a dishonest scheme to make a quick profit. So more specifically the question is does Lifepath Unlimited present an elaborate front to the public to generate quick funds but with no delivery on promises?

To that I must answer with an unequivocal, NO, but of course I can only base this on my own experience.

Here’s some proof…

Scam operations often have no “About Us” or contactable information on their websites. If you go to this company’s website you will find an extensive section about the founders, the company vision and where they are located.

It is usually impossible to get hold of real people when calling companies that are not real. Whenever I called  this company’s customer service department I was able to speak to a real person.

In addition I personally met the founders and senior  management team at a business training event in Sydney which they facilitated at great cost because they saw that there was business potential in the region.

Fraudulent operations either don’t honor their product promises or they provide a very inferior product to that advertised. I experienced two Lifepath Unlimited products both of which exceeded my expectations. Of note is the fact that at that time they also published a clear refund policy on their website.

Scams frequently imply you can make a lot of money without much effort. This company made no  promises about how much I could definitely earn. I was always told that any success would depend on whether I was able to establish and manage a business operation.

Lifepath Unlimited is a successful niche personal development company whose products are distributed via their network of independent business, many of whom are making a full time living by doing this.

I have heard some Lifepath Unlimited complaints about the price of their products being over inflated but how is that different to most other network marketing companies? It isn’t. When you sign up with a company it’s because you perceive you are getting value for the price whatever it is. If you don’t appreciate this value you won’t sign up but this has nothing to do with being a scam.

My recommendation…

What I will say is that this is a high ticket item company and unless you already know how to market or you have a lot of spare cash to spend on your business while you learn, think very carefully about your decision.

Personally I believe you are better off learning to market spending less money. When you have these skills then you  can join any company and be successful.

In retrospect I understand that my time with Lifepath Unlimited had to do with the  personal development they offered. Working on your mindset first is required to be successful at any business.

Learning how to market was something I did after leaving and which I did independently of any network marketing company. Promising  personal development company,  iLearning Global has announced that they are closing their network marketing operation in favor of moving to a retail model, effective pretty much immediately.

With one email thousands of independent associates had the rug pulled out from under their feet.

The reason why iLearning Global made this decision is glaringly obvious – it makes financial sense for them or else they wouldn’t have done it!  All day long I’ve been listening to and reading comments from those who have been affected – in between frenzied sales pitches of course. Yes I was one of the thousands  of people affected too. Funny how  it does not take long before the vultures swoop.

Of course it’s a shock when you believe your company is stable and doing amazingly well to find out that this is not the case. However as with anything in life,  how you deal with news of this nature is what really sets you apart from the pack. It has been very interesting to observe people’s reactions and responses today.

Ironically what comes to mind is a teaching by one of  iLearning Global’s own faculty members, Marsha Petrie Sue. In her ” TLC of Choices” presentation, Marsha Petrie Sue states that no matter what happens to us, we always only ever have three choices – you can (T) take it as it is, (L) leave it and walk away or (C)change it. How refreshingly true and also how simple.  If  only we would just apply this to everything.

None of us can change the situation which means either you accept it  the way it is, or you walk away, even if you don’t like it. The real damage to our energy occurs when we insist on complaining, moaning, blaming  and wanting the outcome to be different. What a total waste of time.

Instead of wallowing in “Why me?”, a never ending self pity loop, rather ask, “What can I take from this experience to help me going forward and what do I have to do next that will be best for me and the people this decision affects?”

Is the end of this network marketing company a first? Of course not. Will it happen again with some other company? You can bet on it. Will it happen to you? Possibly. What can you do to prevent it? Absolutely nothing,  BUT…. you can take care to look after what’s important – YOUR BUSINESS!

This is why building your business around any single company is about as short sighted as you can get. Do so and in effect you are dis-empowering yourself and your business. Why do you want to be at the mercy of any one single income stream when it can quite literally disappear overnight?  Is there any difference between this and being employed when it comes to control?

No matter what company you choose to partner with, your business MUST be about YOU Inc. first and foremost! Your network marketing company should be an important, maybe even the most important income stream in your portfolio but NOT your exclusive income stream.  Should the company disappear as they do, your business won’t disappear with them.

This is a big part of what attraction marketing is all about. Develop your business around YOU and your own brand, become the hunted rather then the hunter and most importantly earn income from various sources including a primary income opportunity. Surely this just makes sense? Why then do thousands of people insist on becoming industry casualties?

Say it whichever way -  finally or Fanale….. the news is the same: MLM leader, Brian Fanale IS A ROCKSTAR!

The ‘rockstar label’ is in itself significant because Brian was indeed a struggling musician before he turned to the Internet. That’s right, he’s an Internet Rockstar!

Is there much of a difference between types of rockstars? The way I see it,  there’s a whole heap of similarities actually. One thing is for sure, being a rockstar in any industry means you have attained a significant level of success, period!

With this comes recognition, attractiveness, financial wealth and yeah dare I say it….. GROUPIES!!

Yes you also want to be associated with rockstars because it makes you feel good to mix with success.  We all do. Others will look at you and think you’re attractive too if you’re on the same red carpet, albeit on the side at the back. Nothing wrong with this. You should be associating with successful leaders, not to trail in their shadow but to connect with them and learn from them so that you can be a rockstar too!

The funny thing is we often only see their success because we only get to know about them when they hit the spotlight.  Take just about anybody who has achieved mega results in life, regardless of the discipline, and  there has been a journey they have had to take to get to that point.

Even people like Susan Boyle who one would hardly think of as your traditional rockstar had to endure a long road to get to where she is today. Her success may appear to have been an overnight phenomenon but  dig a little deeper and you’ll discover she had been preparing her whole life for her transformation to  take place. When she was ready, success came flying in through the door because she attracted the right people and situation into her life at that exact moment.

Of course the  money, glitz and attention is fantastic but I bet what matters a whole lot more to most rockstars,  is the amazing sense of achievement they share.  Brian Fanale is no different.

He started out thinking he wanted to be a doctor but those within the ranks  scared him off with their inside stories. At this stage he  hadn’t quite given up his dream of becoming a professional musician so this was his next stop. In reality this meant being a bartender to subsidize the dream but after only managing to save  a whopping $2000 in 10 months he knew he was going to have to look elsewhere to have the life he wanted.

Enter the network marketing industry and so started a 3 year nightmare that many of us will know well. Rather than earning the thousands he had anticipated, instead he piled up over $20 000 in debt. Sound familiar?

Fortunately not long afterward everything changed for this determined entrepreneur . Within 3 months he became one of the top income earners in his company, had learned how to generate 100+ leads a day and never had to try and convince anyone on anything ever again.  It gets better….. he co-created the largest attraction marketing system on the planet and together they hit the $2 million dollar mark in their first 6 months of  business.

Awesome? Amazing? Phenomenal? you bet…  So what was it that catapulted an ordinary guy to such heights? Simple….when you are finally ready to receive what you need to know, everything will come together very quickly. This is how it happens  for  everybody but the challenging bit is getting yourself to this point. For many it takes a long time. What if there was a way to speed up this process?

Brian Fanale  says there is a way which starts with appreciating your own value and sharing it with others. This is how you become attractive in a business sense. It’s what forms the basis of attraction marketing.  In a nutshell you have to give up needing and wanting and instead focus on giving and sharing.  It may sound easy but it requires a complete change in mindset for most people. I just read a great post today as titled above on the KennyGregg.comPersonal Blog in which Kenny Gregg poses the question of whether a self help product as promoted by  iLearningGlobal is going to stack up against traditional type MLM products like vitamins, cosmetic and weight loss products. It’s a very different product to the norm and as he points out, for the fist time in the industry, by joining this company a person can actually create a business while learning how to be in business. It sounds ideal but it even goes further than this.

Just today a marketing friend of mine who is not involved with iLearningGlobal  said to me that she is is seriously considering signing up for the product to help her with her with her own business. The mind boggles when one thinks about how many struggling network marketers iLearning Global could help with their personal development and business education so that they can become successful at whatever it is they are promoting.

With more and more people wanting to find genuine business education so that they can become successful it would seem that iLearningGlobal has indeed chosen their ticket very well.
