80% of success is showing up regardless of what you’re doing so surprise, surprise the same is true of having a successful Internet marketing business too!
Most people pursuing this goal know exactly what to do, they just don’t do it.
Here are three basic but important steps you must take toward making sure you show up consistently. When you do, you’ll stand a much better chance of attaining that dream life that got you started in the first place.
#1 – Gain leverage with yourself
What does this mean? You have to have a bigger “why” in life to propel you past your current experience and habits. It’s so easy to know what we don’t want. “I don’t want a job anymore….. I’m tired of struggling to make money… I wish my life was better.”
Start asking yourself, “What do I really want?… Why do I want more money? For what purpose? What do I want my life to be like? What would this ultimately give me?
Once you access your deeper values, your new sense of purpose will automatically propel you forward toward having what you desire. If this is not already happening then you should look closely at why you think you want a successful Internet marketing business. Perhaps your purpose lies elsewhere?
#2 – Decide that you are going to be successful
OK so you’ve got a “BIG why”… what’s next? Instead of a “we’ll see” attitude, come with a “will do” attitude.
“We’ll wait and see… I’ll give it a good shot… Maybe this will work.” will not assist you because you’ll always be waiting for a better economic climate, sponsor, company… whatever to be “right” and it never comes.
Adopt a “I am.”, “I will”, “I can” mindset. Make the decision that you are ready now. Don’t wait on outside circumstances or people. Claim your personal power today and take responsibility for your results.
#3 – Commit to the path and take consistent action
Too many people start down the path to success and stop. They either get distracted or give up when challenges arise as they must. If you have steps 1 and 2 in place and you take consistent action until your are successful then you will be, guaranteed!
Don’t complicate matters unnecessarily. This will just sabotage your ability to be consistent. Keep it simple and then do it again and again and again.
Want a successful Internet marketing business? Then set yourself up for success and never give up!
Are you already doing this? Then leave a message and share how these steps are helping you to find success.
I’d really appreciate it if you would also “re-tweet” and “share” this post with your followers. Thank you!
My goal? Helping you achieve yours!

Marcus,
I’m excited to be reading this post. Having a reason why is so important, and it has to be based on more than just money. As far as point 2, when people tell me they’ll try, I tell them exactly what you wrote.
“Are you going to try, or are you going to make it happen??” If you’re going to try, you should turn around right now!!
Love that… instead of “we’ll see”, adopt a “will do” attitude.
Awesome post Marcus.

Thanks Jordan! I think you are doing people a great favor when you tell people that they have to make it happen, it’s the only way!

Great post Marcus,
I really liked step 3, consistancy is the key. I have to admit that in the past I was not consistant jumping from one thing to the next every few weeks looking to make things work. And it didn’t work. Last year I spent a year on Facebook learning everything I could and got results, why? through sticking with one thing and being consistant.

Hey Marcus,
Great mindset! The last one is vital. One must not quit! It may seem like nothing is happening. However, if you stay consistent everything is happening. It just might be to early to see it.

Yeah Josh I guess it’s not always easy when we don’t see the results and that’s when faith is required.

Hey Marcus,
I like your point: “Commit to the path and take consistent action”.
It is really easy to change the goal posts and never excel in one particular area. Hopefully people will learn from your post here and stay committed.

Hey Marcus,
I like #2, for me it demonstrates how important we need to know where we are going.
So, if we have the mindset of succeeding, then there is no other option than succeeding.

That is so true. I know from experience that changing from lunch line to lunch line means you never get to the front to eat!
