“Multilevel marketing MLM. That stuff just doesn’t work mate”

We’re standing away from the main noise of the party. I take a big sip of my drink. I’m thinking why am I wasting my time speaking to this idiot. For one thing he hasn’t even got the name right.

I’m  feeling excited about my ego fuelled come back about to be launched.  Mate it’s actually called- I’m about to say when I catch myself.

What the heck am I doing?  If he doesn’t even know the name it’s possible he knows even less about the industry. Down ego, down!

“It sounds as if you’ve had some personal experience with network marketing?” I stress the last two words.

“Not at all but I’ve had enough friends who have.”

Perfect I think.

“Okay. What do you do now?”

He spends the next few minutes ranting on about his boring banking job which he hates. I’m listening intently now so that I know which of the following three questions to ask next.

Do you want more money? Do you want freedom from your job? Do you want more time?

From that I’m hearing it’s not really money. Freedom?  Everybody wants that. Ah…. it’s all about a lack of time.

“Tell me what would you do if you had more of the time you feel robbed of  by your job?”

BINGO!

I don’t need to tell you that he went on to give me all the hooks I needed to show him why multilevel marketing MLM or whatever else you call it will always work.

When someone tells you network marketing doesn’t work, what do YOU say?

I am going to show  you why network marketing will always work so that the next time someone says this to you, you will be able to get them to open the door so you can explain to them how misinformed they truly are.

People will ALWAYS need additional income.

The fact of the matter is most people live from pay check to pay check. They just aren’t able to buy the nice things that they want for themselves and their families.

There is and will always be a constant DEMAND for more money regardless of  what the economy is doing. Have you noticed that even when people earn what is regarded as a good wage they still don’t have enough? This is because the majority of people always spend more than they earn. Period.

Home business network marketing is a simple, part time and low risk way for full time workers to fill this need. To put it simply, as long as people need money, network marketing will ALWAYS be there to fill that need.

People will ALWAYS want freedom from jobs they don’t enjoy.

Just ask people whether they love what they do and listen to their answers. The vast majority would rather be doing something else. They go to work because they have to and not because they want to.

Network marketing offers a promise of true financial freedom. In fact it presents the lowest entry cost, highest possibility option for people to achieve that freedom.

People will ALWAYS want more time to do what they truly want to do.

The ability to leave the 9 to 5 working world and the freedom that will come from this will ALWAYS be too tempting to pass up. People will ALWAYS want more free time to do with as they please.  In fact most people would choose  having more time over money.

Network marketing offers the promise of working from home where you can determine your own hours.  Again, the opportunity to create free time will ALWAYS draw people to this industry.

As long as people crave time, money and freedom network marketing will ALWAYS exist.

The next time someone tries to tell you that network marketing doesn’t work you know that they couldn’t be more wrong. All you have to is ask your “accuser” one of the three questions above. I guarantee they will answer yes to one of these questions.

When they do they will have proved exactly why network  marketing will always work!

Does this guarantee that YOU will be successful?

Only if you approach this industry as a genuine business, get the the right education and tools for the job and commit wholeheartedly to your vision.

There are far too many people who struggle unnecessarily because they don’t get the proper foundation from the start. This just leads to disappointment, debt, wasted hours and in one word, disaster.

If you have been struggling in your business and also thinking that network marketing doesn’t work then it’s time for you to start experiencing some success. Getting the right training will give you a MASSIVE advantage over the majority of other network marketers, not only in your company but in the MLM network marketing industry as a whole.

Enter your details in the form on the top right hand side of this page and get the training blueprint that will set you up today for success tomorrow.

  2. Hey Marcus,

Individuals that say Network Marketing doesn’t work. I don’t even waste a minute with them. I do like how you tied in all the benefits that mostly everyone wants. Some may not want all 3 of them but at least 1 out of the 3.

    Chat with you later…

    Hi Josh,

It’s a good idea not to let others affect us. They respond in the way they do because of reasons we are not usually even aware of.

  3. I’ve met more than a few people that seem to be incapable of seeing the possibility that there are alternative to trading time for money. The key seems to be to make them “short circuit” their subconscious automatic defenses against anything outside of what they know.

I’m still trying to figure out how to do this.

The more we practice the better we become Seth but I believe the secret lies in listening beyond the words people use. It’s their feelings that we have to connect with.

  6. Marcus,

You made some excellent points in this article. There’s always an underlying desire that doesn’t come out and slap you across the face..

The Freedom, the time, the status is what most people desire, but MONEY is how they can explain it.

In our marketing we need to TALK TO that deep desire that even they cant see.

Yes so all the more reason why we need to listen to and connect with people at a deep level so we can try and help them see beyond their own self limiting beliefs. Great comment, thanks.

  7. Marcus, you make an excellent observation about the ego based response and showed great restraint to bite your tongue. It takes will power and wisdom to do so.

I encounter the same stuff with gifting. Yes, network marketing does work, and yes, everybody can use more money because when properly employed money does untold good things for you and others.

I find it funny that people wonder if network marketing works when you have millionaires walking around in the industry but skepticism is so engrained that it makes the average person blind to this.

    Hi Ryan,

Keeping our egos in check is a continual exercise of being mindful but I believe it’s essential for us to practice this. I guess people respond in the way they do for a variety of reasons which we cannot control. We can only control how we respond. Thanks for a great comment as usual Ryan.

  8. Hey Marcus, another peace of art from you. Now I would highlight the part “He spends the next few minutes ranting on about his boring banking job which he hates”. thats it! Its so bad to have a job you hate , you can never do that job fully, with passion and focus, all you do is counting working hours so you can get rid of it and go home.. Tomorrow, same story… In network marketing, its completely another thing. You have a chance for unlimited income, for more free time and the best of it, people who seriously take role in this industry , loves it!I am completely in love with network marketing and as long as l am passionate about it,I am 100% sure the word ‘fail’ won’t exist in my vocabulary!

    Keep rocking,

    HI Milena,

Thanks for your awesome comment. I believe that those who are meant to be in network marketing will love it Milena, just like you. You are successful because of your fantastic attitude. I guess it can’t be for everybody but I do believe that the rewards for those who should be here and stick it out until they are successful will be massive.

  9. Hey Marcus,

I’ve heard this a lot of times from tons of prospects. Most of the time it’s exactly what you discovered. They “heard” from someone who it didn’t work for.

Which is kind of crazy, just because it doesn’t work for someone else doesn’t mean it won’t for them. It’s like dieting. It doesn’t work for some but it does for others. Hmmm!

Great approach on this one Marcus. I liked it!

  10. Hi Marcus,

Awesome post, as usual. I’m always impressed when I stop by here.

Finding the right questions, and that ‘hook’ is key when talking to new people. Some will never see it no matter what. Too busy wallowing in their own self pity and disappointment to notice the ray of hope that network marketing can bring.

I can just see you standing there… haha Love the way you started this post.

    Make it a good one!

  12. Hey Marcus!
When someone says to me “MLM doesn’t work!” I just say “You’re right! IT doesn’t work, YOU do! ;) ” If they’re expecting a Free ride then they will never be successful in anything. You will only ever get as much as you put into it.

    That’s my two cents :)

    Hi Luc,

I guess the best way to deal with any response is to be in the moment and say what is best for the occasion. I like your response. I use a similar one sometimes that goes along the lines of “It can work as long as you’re prepared to work too. Are you?”

I have realized that there are many reasons, some very complex, responsible for people not be being successful in this industry. I believe all I can do is try and help those that can be helped. As for the rest, they are on a different journey to that of mine. Thanks for stopping by.
