Twelve weeks ago the Alexa ranking for this blog was 2,353,877 and today it’s 186,322

Basically the most one ever needs to know about statistics is whether the  upward or downward move is what you want or not. It could be either depending on what’s being measured. For instance if your weight goes up that is usually not that good and of course if it comes down one usually has treason to smile.

In the case of an Alexa ranking the lower the number the better. Sites are ranked according to their criteria against all other included sites  with no 1 being  the site that gets the most traffic.  Now you may be thinking if 1 is the best then 186,322 is not all that good except that ‘s not what’s important here. Of more significance is by how much this number has decreased over time because this means one thing -

increased traffic!!!!!!!


This is exactly  what every site owner wants because provided you know how to channel it, traffic turns into leads. MLM lead generation is a vital component of our business when it comes to list building.When you have a list can y0u build relationships with people and market to them over time.

Another important point to understand about statistics is that it’s always best to use a couple of different measuring methods to get a more accurate picture.

While the specific numbers can go up or down on a daily basis, more important is the emerging trend over time. I have not been keeping statistics on this blog for very long so I can’t show you any over an extended period of time but what I  can show you will nonetheless present a trend.  Traffic to this blog is increasing.

The above graphic shows the increase in traffic for the month of March and the graphic below shows the upwards trend of traffic from week 6 through 12 of the year.

While this trend is fantastic news, the real value lies in knowing what is responsible for the increase. When one knows what this is then one can ensure that one does more of the same.
