MLM Tips – How To Save Time Reading Blogs

  • class="st_sharethis" displayText="Share">

Did you know that reading and participating on other people’s blogs is a crucial activity in your MLM business? I can already hear some of my newer people throwing their hands up in exasperation, “What something else to do? How many should I be reading and where should I find the time to do it?”

Good news – this does not have to be very time consuming, however chances are once you get started, like me, you will enjoy it so much that you’ll have to find ways to manage the activity or else you will be spending far too much time on it.

I suggest you give yourself a time limit every day. Just how long will depend entirely on how much time you have available for business activities. I find it a relaxing way to end my business day and usually spend about 20 -30 minutes doing so.

So what are the reasons for reading blogs and how can you maximize your time? Being organized and using  a  free available tool to help you is the key. I’ve created a short MLM tips video on this topic to help you do just this.  I hope you find it useful. Please leave me a comment if you do and I’d also be interested to hear some further tips from you on the subject too. Enjoy…

  1. Hi Marcus,

Great video with some great tips. I like the idea of putting a time limit on visiting other blogs and commenting. Like most things online, if you don’t put some type of limit on it, your time gets soaked up before you know it. Keep up the great posts!!

    Hi Glen,

You are so right about the need to manage time or else we spend to much of it doing what we like and some of this may not be income generating at all.

  5. Marcus, Awesome blog and video. I have been using Google Reader for about 1.5 years and I need to go in there and “clean house” so to speak.

Great idea for keeping your blogs in one place. This is especially helpful if you have a tribe or small mastermind that you are committed to commenting and bookmarking.

Thanks too for promoting my blog. That was a nice surprise!

Boy you’ve hit the nail on the head with this one lol. I sometimes find myself spending hours doing a task that I was only supposed to spend 30 minutes on. It can get ridiculous. I definitely need to work on my time management. Thanks for this article friend.

  7. Hi Marcus,

Even 20-30min a day will add up over time and so important to set a daily goal and stick to it even if it is only 5min. Better then aiming to do 2 hours a day and never doing it.

Totally agree here. Actually setting aside time in your schedule to read blogs is a great way to make sure you’re staying on top of things and actually getting a good amount of reading in every day. I do this for writing, too – I find that I’m more productive if I have a block of time each day that is specifically dedicated to writing… I make myself sit at the computer without distractions, even if I’m not getting anything done! Works wonders. ;)

    Hi Natasha,

Awesome. I have to admit some days I get so carried away with reading blogs that I have to force myself to do something else. I have often said if only I could just be paid for reading blogs. LOL

I also choose a dedicated time to write and even though I do everything possible to eliminate distractions I still seem to take too long with what I’m doing. How do you manage this?

I’m still working on taking too long too… Setting aside time is one thing, but actually *managing* that time is a whole different story!

Over a year ago, I viewed reading other blogs as a chore – one that I put off all the time. I now find it very relaxing and I learn something new every single day. I love reading different opinions on subjects and while I sometimes get infuriated at what people will say, I still enjoy it!

    Hi Kim,

I agree with you reading blogs is not only informative and entertaining at times but relaxing too. I think it’;s fine not to agree with everything written after all it’s only someone else’s opinion. :)
