Most worthwhile projects require a series of steps and perseverance as time passes to accomplish these. Setting out to be successful in your network marketing internet business every day is no exception. Here’s the way to do this in 5 easy steps.
Step 1 – Plan your day the night before.
This is important because you want to make sure you focus on income producing activities for most of your business day. Ultimately this means speaking to prospects. Write down specifically what you want to achieve, Eg: Speak to five people about my business. This way when you start the next day you will know exactly what you want to achieve. In the event you skip or ignore this, you’ll end up just being busy and not attending to measurable income producing activities.
Step 2 – Decide to be successful.
This step will need your full attention and concentration. When you wake up in the morning greet the day with an expectation of success. Say out loud, “Today I am going to have a fantastic day and achieve everything I have set out to do.” or words to that effect. You could say it a few times, looking at yourself in the mirror, while taking a shower, to others at breakfast and even as a message on one of your social media networks. The reason why you need to do this is is because it sets your intention for the day to be successful.
Step 3 – See yourself being successful.
The reason for this is to have a clear picture in your mind of what being successful looks and feels like. Before you start work, take five minutes and visualize yourself completing each of the actions you want to achieve for the day. It’s a good idea to see it like a movie as if you have already completed whatever it is you set out to do. How will you know you have been successful? What might you hear or see? Who is with you? How does it feel?.
Step 4 – Have a way to interrupt distractions that may emerge.
Many times we start out with very good intentions and still somehow manage to be distracted from the actions we want to achieve. It’s amazing how easily domestic chores, the inside of the fridge, day time television and and non income producing activities can become attractive. Make a habit of asking yourself this question regularly, “What am I meant to be doing now?” This should take you back to your list and remind you about what is important.
Step 5 – Acknowledge your success at the end of the day.
Do this either by ticking off the actions on your list as you go or make a list of everything you have achieved at the end of your day. Just looking at this should be enough reward to make you feel proud and give you the incentive to do it again tomorrow.
Take a moment to congratulate yourself and feel proud. You set out to realize your goals and you succeeded! You “climbed the Mountain”! Now enjoy the view from the top! Repeat this same success every day and you have every chance having a successful network marketing Internet business.

You have given the right setting. Every morning I read through my vision for myself, deciding what to achieve, who I should talk to today.
When I started this I had a hard time imagining that it would really work, but I’ve learned that it is the only thing that really works. See it, believe in it and do the work as you get the inspiration, ….the results will follow.

Hello Soren,
Great to have you visit again. Yes it is a bit like exercise. If you want to exercise a muscle you have to work it regularly and so we also have to condition ourselves daily for success.

Great tips Marcus,
Those are all VERY important steps to do. planning, visualization and rewarding yourself are my favorites. You must have a plan to know where you are going. You must be able to see yourself at the intended destination and take action to get there. Finally, you definitely must reward yourself for taking those actions.
It may not seem like you have accomplished much at times but if 97% of network marketers fail, then somebody is not doing something so be proud of your accomplishments no matter how small they may seem.
Great value you have given sir.

You are right about visualizing your success. I like your comment about your brain being a muscle that you exercise. If you think you are successful you are and will be successful!

Hey Marcus
It is amazing what we can accomplish just by following those five steps.
Sadly, may day job is a big distraction for me

Hi Marcus,
I keep to the 5 steps. All are excellent and I appreciate you sharing them.
“You want to make sure you focus on income producing activities for most of your business day”….I promise to impress this line upon my consciousness, it’s a talisman of wisdom which any online entrepreneur should listen to.
I take 10-15 minute breaks each hour to either visualize or meditate. It takes a few minutes for me to settle down, after which I do my mental homework. Things come to me more easily when I am more easy on things.

Hi Ryan,
Thanks for leaving a comment and endorsing the step by step process. Yes the 10 -15 minute hourly break is something I learned from you. I use it for regular visualizations throughout the day and it works brilliantly.

I’m happy to hear that Marcus.
Guess what this increased mindfulness/break time allowed me to spot today? That I was linking up to cashwithatrueconscience.com/bblog on yours and other blogs instead of cashwithatrueconscience.com/rbblog for the past week or so, and I was wondering why the link continued to appear dead…… Without my breaks who knows how long it would have taken me to notice this
Enjoy your day Marcus

Wow Ryan! It just shows that it’s only when we slow down that we are conscious enough to pick up minute errors but which make a massive difference. I am so pleased you spotted this. Awesome!

Hey Marcus
Just integrated this into my daily plan. My biggest distraction is following links when i start reading posts on blogs I visit. Maybe because I don’t yet implement #1. I need to go organise these meetings I keep talking about and leave the blogging for a bit. Just the one post a week and stop the maintenance for now. Sounds like a plan.
Thanks for your support and the information you bring to your blog.

Great stuff Dennis! It is very easy to get distracted on the Internet because there is so much fabulous content to tempt us but yes you are right, make sure you are not just reading blogs my friend.
Thanks for adding to the value here Dennis.

Thanks for the reminder mate, I actually became distracted and came across your post. Those are 5 great points to keep close to hand as a reminder.
Setting time limits for tasks and working in short targeted bursts is one of the methods I try to employ to avoid distractions……..obviously must have run over my time in this case…lol
