How would consistently being able to increase your income help you?
Perhaps you’d upgrade to a bigger house for your family? Send your children to better schools? Pay off your debts? Take more vacations? Maybe it would simply mean living your life in a little more comfort?
I’m sure you’ll agree that most people wouldn’t mind learning how to consistently increase their income.
Network marketing and online business opportunity companies know this, which is why they dangle this as a carrot so you’ll join their programs.
We all know however that the vast majority of people who sign up for these never increase their income significantly. In fact they usually do quite the opposite, they increase their debt.
Unfortunately too many people focus on the result – having the money, rather than focusing on the systems that create the results.
So while you do need a vehicle that can help you generate more income, this is not enough. You also need a system to help you achieve your goal.
Recently I attended a webinar by Noah St John during which he suggested a system that could help anyone to consistently increase their income.
Why I think his system is brilliant is because of the emphasis placed on the value YOU can bring to the table in order to get what you want.
The network marketing model fits this system perfectly so here’s my version which I have added to in part but which stays with Noah’s intention.
- Write down what you want to achieve financially in the next 90 days. Be specific and realistic.
- Write down who can help you get there. What will you need them to do? Motivate you? Hold you accountable? Ideally you want this to be your sponsor but it could also be a paid coach or a friend.
- Find out how to contact them and make an appointment to speak to them.
- Brainstorm how you can benefit them. If this is your sponsor then this should be an easy exercise.
- Contact them and demonstrate how helping YOU will benefit THEM.
- Set up an arrangement with this person and honor it.
- Repeat every 90 days

You know most of the top earners do exactly that – they are accountable to someone else.
For some reason we think they don’t do this so we choose not to, maybe because we foolishly think others will think we would be weak if we did.
Funny thing is not one of the 6 figure earners I know do it on their own.

I enjoyed the step-by-step instruction. My mind is – generally – orderly, and a clear set of acts to take works for me.
As you note, focusing on bringing value via specific system seems to work best, and concentrating on making money doesn’t work too well for you are attached to an outcome.

I think one has to make specific plans and hold oneself accountable in any business. Its not specific only for Online businesses.
To be honest – why all of us started an Internet business? MONEY and freedom to work and live on our conditions were the main reasons.
After some time you understand that you need to provide VALUE (your own interests are not that interesting to other – even we have very similar wishes). After that MONEY might come to you.
