Today I was viewing an outdoor art exhibition called “Artisans in the sun”.
When I came across this sculpture I was most amused.I found it comical, alive and so expressive.
Would I put it into my garden? Absolutely, although at the $7000 price tag, highly unlikely.
I was fortunate enough to meet the artist and I asked her how she had gone about creating the piece from concept to finished product.
“I pictured every aspect in detail before I started then I simply kept this picture in mind until I had created what I wanted.” she said.
What a perfect answer. It’s also the way to create your ideal business using the law of attraction.
In my past I have owned a few offline traditional businesses. What these did was teach me from experience exactly what I didn’t want. I didn’t want employees, inventory, real estate, to be geographically limited or to have a huge business loan.
We call this observing contrast in ‘law of attraction speak’. When you know what you don’t want then it’s easy to know what you do want, the opposite.
This is the story I started telling people around me at every opportunity – “I want a business that is global in scope and appeal which I can do from home or anywhere in the world, that won’t cost me a fortune to start, which has room for business partners and has the potential to make real money.”
What I was in fact doing was creating what I wanted just as the artist creates a work of art. It’s little wonder that I attracted the network marketing industry into my awareness since it answered all my criteria. From this point I went on to create my own network marketing Internet business.
To do this I created my business vision further – I decided what kind of product I wanted, the type of company management I preferred, the price range I thought was best for the product and opportunity, the type of people who would be involved with this company etc etc.
When opportunities presented themselves to me, evaluating them was easy and most of the time I attracted the exact type opportunities I was looking for anyway.
The first step in using the law of attraction is defining what you want which is easy to do because it’s the opposite of what you don’t want.
If you’re looking for a network marketing opportunity, write down exactly what you want and focus on it. Don’t focus on what you have or don’t want as you will simply create more of the same.
Think about it, visualize it and tell people what you’re looking for, all the time taking care to feel good about what you are wanting. Read out your requirements every day, believing that what you want is out there waiting for you. Feel good about your ideal business then let the of law of attraction do the work for you.
What defines an ideal business opportunity for you? Why do you think your business opportunity is ideal? I am always interested to read your comments. I’d also appreciate it if you can share this post with your followers if you believe they will benefit from reading it. Thank you.
My goal? Helping you achieve yours.

Great insights here Marcus!
Visualisation plays a huge role in applying the Law of Attraction. To be able to “see” the kind of business you desire in your mind, creates the good feelings that are needed to be able to manifest the desired end result.
It’s those feelings coupled to a strong belief that what you desire is coming to you, that will see you receiving it!
Stay inspired!

Hi Michael,
The biggest challenge for most people is maintaining a positive emotion in relation to what they desire.
It’s this that allows what we want to manifest. We often think we are focused on what we want and we may be, in mind and through visualization but our feelings are more often than not aligned with what we don’t yet have or with what is and this creates the gap in vibration between wanting and having.
Thanks for adding to the discussion Michael. I appreciate it.

Hey Marcus,
Like you said, defining what one want is absolutely essential. It helps one focus.
Though I will attribute my joining this presnet opportunity to adrenaline, I still believe that subconciously I wanted to have an opportunity to travel the world and visit all those places I saw on television. It might even be that it was that realization that fuelled the adrenaline.
So, the law of attraction works.

Hi Marcus,
What a unique sculpture! Thanks for including the picture.
This is a great way to map out your business. And cutting out what you know you don’t want goes a long way!
Thank you for shedding some light on this topic. It’s super important to figure out EXACTLY what you want and don’t want.

Hi Marcus,
Getting clear is one of the bigger tasks when using the law of attraction practically. It’s easy to get caught up on the contrast step since most are masters in thinking about what they don’t want. Your mission statement is clear and there’s no doubt you’ve attracted whatever is needed to manifest the picture in mind. Thanks for sharing your LOA insight.

Hi Marcus,
Beautiful post. (I loved the artwork!) I think I’m a visual person by nature and I’ve easily pictured what I want in my life, but I struggle sometimes with verbalizing it. I love how you’ve simply stated what you wanted your business to be like and zeroed farther in on the details of what that turned into for you.
I tried so many things to get here: ebay, photography, wedding planning, upholstery, sewing, candle/soap making, real-estate, etc. and by far network marketing has been the best fit and the thing I’ve had the most fun doing!
I want a business that will allow me to put my family first, give me the flexibility to work when I am able to work, and that doesn’t require significant chunks of time to do. (A few minutes here, a 1/2 an hour there, whether I’m building it at nap-time or waiting in the carpool line after choir practice for my daughters.) I want a business that earns me a great income and allows me to leverage my creativity, time, and money. Something that will allow me to blur the lines between work and play, and gives me the chance to work with people who are positive and fun to be around.
I need to work on condensing it like you have, but from my heart, that is what I want and what I’ve found! Thanks, Marcus, for helping me to clarify my visualization.

Hey Marcus,
I agree with what you said here. I don’t think that a lot of people think about this kind of stuff when they first get started. Many people just jump in and get a little lost along the way.
If you have goals in mind and you plan out what you want your business to be in the future it’s a lot easier to get there than just thinking well when it grows it grows.
Then with your big goals for your business you plan out all the little goals that will get you there to achieve the big goal! It’s a brilliant idea!

Powerful Post Marcus. That is a very striking piece of art, and the answer given by the sculptor was a perfect answer.
This is a great reminder that we will manifest what we want when we are crystal clear about it in our minds first.
I never used to think much about dream boards and affirmations, but the more I develop the more I’m convinced at how these things can crystallize inner desires and help manifest them.

Hello Marcus,
That is indeed a very interesting sculpture. I got your point and I love how the law of attraction works. You are right in saying how important it is to visualize what we wanted in order to stay focus and to be able to do the things necessary to achieve that picture in our mind. By doing this, we will be able to get rid of all the distractions that we might encounter along the way since we know our goal and we know what we want to happen.
Thanks for sharing,

Great points Marcus I agree it’s important to keep focus on what you want. The network marketing industry is so vast there is an option for everyone. I think too many people get tied up in joining a given company for the wrong reason or no reason at all. It’s likely that’s why they may fail. Finding whats a perfect fit for you is one of the keys to success.

Hi Marcus,
awesome mindset post. It’s OK to start brainstorming with what we don’t want. And you are right: We need to find the positive counterpart of the negative.
Nearly two years ago, at the beginning of 2009 I sat together with my wife and we were brainstorming about our future, we called it “life headline”. And I thought: There must be a business we can do together that gives us time and freedom – because in my financial consulting business I wasn’t able to involve her.
So I came to network marketing via Napoleon Hill and Robert Kiyosaki 10 months later, at first with a bad company because I din’t know how to evaluate it. Because of my strong WHY I found a mentor who helped me to find a company that is in alignment with my why – and I made a change.
So everything falls into place.
To answer your question: An ideal business opportunity is in alignment with my personal why and my dreams and goals. In fact, very few business opportunities – even in MLM – really are.
Take care

Hey Marcus, Wise points. Begin with the end in mind as its been said. Often people get caught up with an idea without every gaining clarity of what success with it would look like! I couldn’t agree more how important it is to know exactly what you want … only then can you analyze an opportunity and determine if it’s a fit… and amazingly the right fit will appear.
