I’d like to acknowledge and thank everybody who has supported my blog during the month of June 2011.

Clapping Hands

Thank You!

Without visitors and in particular an interactive audience, a blog cannot be successful so it’s thanks to you for making this possible.

The last two weeks have been a bit of a challenge for me as a blogger. Some of you will know I that I knocked a cup of tea over my only computer which was a laptop. It died in the process. Sad but obviously its time was over.

Then I had to wait 10 days to get my new computer. While it was frustrating on one hand, the ‘time out’ was invaluable so even though this may sound odd, I am grateful for what happened. I believe everything happens in perfect timing.

The good news is that my new laptop arrived today so now I am in catch up mode.

A special thank you to those of you who supported my posts during the last few weeks, even though I may not have managed to visit yours as often as usual. I will be doing my best to call around in the next few days and also catch up with responding to outstanding comments on this blog too.

During the month of June I also tried out a new widget called “Top Contributors” to help me collect this data. I’m not sure yet whether I like it or whether I will keep it.

What I do like is that rather than showing a boring list of names with small gravatars in the side panel, one can opt to show gravatars only from the blog/blogger concerned.

What I don’t like is that even though the link attribute has been set to “do-follow,” it does not consistently perform as set. If any of you have some insight to share about this, please let me know in the comments section.

Now I’d like to highlight this blog’s top three commenting supporters for June and name all the others who made it to the top ten list.

My top three supporters are all extremely unique individuals and their blogs express each of their personalities perfectly.

Below I have highlighted a post from each of their sites that I particularly enjoyed reading during June.

I want encourage you to visit their blogs and enjoy the engaging experiences each will lead you through.

#1

Janet Calaway

Janet Calaway – The Natural Networker

This is Janet’s third time in this position. :) We both enjoy commenting back and forth on each other’s blogs and I can assure you that not only will you learn from reading any of her posts but also from reading any of the wonderful comments she leaves on many blogs.

Her blog has to be one of my favorite places to hang out because she is engages me in a way that I love. She certainly is the most natural networker I have ever come across!

I am always guaranteed of coming away feeling inspired, enlightened, entertained or educated. Often all four!

This aside, Janet is a genuine, lovely and incredibly generous being and and I feel blessed to count her as one of my good friends.

#2

Stan Faryna

Stan Faryna – The Unofficial Blog

I have Janet Calaway to thank for introducing me to Stan Faryna. Isn’t it wonderful how we can meet so many interesting people via networking online.

Stan describes himself as a Daddy, Author, Servant Heart, Online Strategist, Entrepreneur, Blogger, Mentor, Design Wonk, and – yes, suspected Galafreyian. He’s also an extraordinary being whose generous heart you will feel with when you connect with him.

Stan says this about his blog – “Although I tend to write for myself and for my own pleasure in reflecting upon the things the move in my thoughts, I do enjoy sharing my thoughts and questions on business, culture, internet, online strategy, people etc”

The best way of getting to know more about Stan is to visit his site and read his posts and “About” pages.

Justin Mazza

Justin Mazza – Mazzastick.com

Justin describes his blog as a conscious growth blog dedicated to Personal Development, Spiritual Development, Blogging, and Health and Nutrition.

Justin’s site is one of my favorite personal development blogs to visit. Not only does he tackle meaty topics but he also also features quite a lot of guest writers these days, so it’s always refreshing to experience different writing styles on a variety of topics that are always of interest to me.

Justin has been on his own journey for a while so always has a great deal of practical wisdom to share on his blog which I am sure you will find very useful.

The Benefits of Being Highlighted Here

Besides the obvious link back to your blog post, it’s another place for you to be seen.

As attraction marketers we want to pop up wherever and whenever we can.

If you would like to be featured for July, all you have to do is visit and comment on posts published here more than anybody else during the month ahead.

Edify Your own Blog’s Supporters

Install a plug-in like the one I use, “Top Contributors” or like the one I used previously, “Top Commentators Widget”, which will keep track of who is commenting on your posts.

Adjust the settings to reset at the end of every month and then don’t forget to check who your top supporters are before the new month rolls over so that you can honor them in a post like this.

I always enjoy reading your responses so I’ll see you in the comments section where you can have your say. Also please share this post with your followers if you think they may benefit. Thank you.

Be Happy!

  1. Hi Marcus,
Glad you are back up and running. It is great to see so many showcasing their top commentors. The great thing about reading and sharing content is the value given and received. For some syndicating is a way to just get SEO juice, but they miss the whole point about building relationship and increasing knowledge and skill sets.

  2. Marcus, aloha. No doubt about it, Marcus, we have a mutual admiration society. Hanging out at your blog, reading posts, reading comments and writing comments is one of my very favorite things to do.

So glad you connected with Stan who is so extraordinary.

Absolutely delighted to read that your new laptop is here. Have fun putting everything in order. Nothing like a clean start. In fact, this weekend, 4th of July, is a long holiday weekend and I look forward to “cleaning house” in many areas. Let that good energy flow easily!

Marcus, I’ll be responding to your comments over the weekend.

Best wishes for a glorious weekend and your best month ever. Aloha. Janet

Janet aloha. I like that… a “mutual admiration society”.

I agree with you, I love having you and all the others visit and leave comments here as much as I love doing it at your online homes.

The new laptop is fabulous in so many ways and so much more luxurious than my previous model. Although there was nothing wrong with my previous machine, maybe this was the Universe’s way of showing me that an upgrade was in my best interests. :)

Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend Janet. Wishing you an excellent new week ahead.

    Enjoy your weekend!

Elmar I did look to see if you had written a post about contributors but I didn’t find one. Please let me know if I missed that as I would like to leave a comment if you did. If not, no problem. I am just checking as I may have missed it with the cross over to my new computer.

    Hi Marcus!

Just like most of us here, I guess we had some hiatus last week. :) I already prepared the post for the Top Commentators but I haven’t posted it yet. Watch out for it anytime this week, probably on a Friday!

But, my latest post also had a special mention about you. You might want to check it out. :)

  4. Hi Marcus,

Thanks for the kind mention my friend :)

Each top commentator is a real leader in the field because they know the great secret to success: engaging. The more you engage, the more strong connections you make, the more fun you have…..and yes, the more your business grows too. A nice little side effect.

On a side note I’m happy you have a new laptop and for your experience of release. The Universe teaches us so many cool lessons on releasing through interesting vehicles ;)

    Thanks for sharing!

Totally awesome dude, what a shocker to see my mug on your blog. :)

I believe that I am using the same commenting widget as you are. I don’t know much about it but when I learn something I will share it with you.

I am totally happy for you that you got a new laptop. I did a mourning prayer for your recently deceased laptop.

I have to remember to change the settings to reset at the beginning of the month on the blog commenters widget, thanks for reminding me.

Marcus, Thanks again for honoring me on your blog, it was unexpected and really appreciated.
