Naturally you need to align yourself with one or more network marketing opportunities if you want a network marketing Internet business, but what will determine your ultimate success?
I believe it comes down to two things, marketing skill plus YOU!
Why is it that two people can be exposed to the exact same opportunity and one will be hugely successful and the other not? It has nothing to do with the opportunity then.
Why is it that two people can be exposed to the same opportunity AND the same marketing skills and one will be hugely successful and the other not? It can’t be the opportunity or the marketing tools then.
This leaves one factor – YOU!
The only variable that differs is the person involved and whether they have the necessary mindset to make the other two factors work.
You need both marketing skills and the right mindset for success to result.
How Do You Get The Right Marketing Education and Tools for Your Network Marketing Internet Business?
Some complain that their network marketing company does not teach them how to market. It’s true that some companies provide better marketing education than others but at the end of the the day these companies are concerned with their products and business primarily.
The supplier of baked beans does not tell the corner store how to market his beans. They may supply a few marketing materials but it’s essentially up to the store owner to do his own marketing. Why should it be different here? Do you have the mindset to take you beyond using your company as an excuse for not knowing how to market?
Some complain that their sponsors either don’t know how to market so can’t teach them or else that they just don’t care to teach them. If this is your situation do you have the mindset to take you beyond using your sponsor as an excuse for not knowing how to market?
When it comes to marketing skills and tools, the solution is to stop finding excuses for why you don’t know how to market and get the marketing skills you require. The best way is to get a generic education in marketing, then you as the marketing professional will be able to market anything.
There are various providers of marketing education but I have to say that in my experience Marketing Survival Skills is the King. Not only will you get an education in the fundamentals of marketing but an ongoing education from the best in the field as things change. You’ll also have access to a completely customizable toolkit that will help you to brand yourself and market any network marketing opportunity.
How Do You Get The Right Mindset for YourNetwork Marketing Internet Business?
Even with this fantastic education and tool kit in hand you may still find yourself not being successful. That’s because there is still one part to the equation missing. You require more drive and passion so that you can go beyond your excuses and fear of failure and you must learn how to better manage your emotional states so that you can stay on track until you are ready for success.
There is no course, book, company or person who can do this for you although all of the tools mentioned could contribute to your success. You simply have to make a decision to do whatever it takes to get there and never give up until you do.
If this describes you then you have two choices, accept that this is where you are and continue to work on yourself believing that if you do, you will eventually be successful or you can give up.
What is it that you specifically need to work on? Only you will know. This will be the greatest challenge to your success, but if others can do it and have done it, so can you. Will you?
What tips do you have for others who are still on the journey to self mastery? Please leave me a comment and and please share this with your followers on your social networks if you enjoyed reading this. Thank you

Thanks Jiri.
Too many people are obsessed with marketing only. When I decided to spend more time on mindset than on marketing is when I started to see change in my business. Thanks for the comment.

Having the right mindset for YOU is a critical component to a business and to it’s success.
Your best option is to ensure you have the right skill-sets and mindset.
When you have both hand in hand, the better off anyone will be.
Really great advise Marcus.

Hi Jerome,
The most common mistake I find with people is that they end up paying out money for more marketing when it’s not needed. It’s a bit like putting a bandaid on a headache. Thanks for your comment.

Marcus you right what it boils down to is what do we believe at a core level within us. You can do all the planning you want, organize all you want but if at the deepest levels you are not ready for success it want materialize. We are in 100% agreement my friend.

Hi Steve,
Thanks Steve. I guess what I wanted those who find themselves in this position to understand that it is fine to be in this position as long as one does not give up. Thanks for the comment.

Luv the inspiration here Marcus. Blame sets up a mental prison. The moment you blame some one or thing you give your power to that outside source. It’s like being held captive by your thoughts.
Any marketing newbie or veteran who plays the blame game would be wise to heed your counsel.

Hi Ryan,
Sometimes people don’t even realize what they are doing when they get into the “blame game” because it seems like a legitimate reason for not making progress. When one realizes that it is more a case of not taking responsibility then one can take action to free oneself.
Thanks for the great comment!

Hi Marcus,
To me, mindset is paramount. Everything else can be learned. Your Sponsor can’t or won’t train you? It doesn’t matter if you have the will to succeed.
In my MLM your sponsor is the person directly above you, although not necessarily your enroller. Mine was M.I.A.
It didn’t matter, I found the training I needed, some of it right here, on your blog.
I didn’t blame anyone, even if I knew who to blame.
Because when it comes right down to it, we alone are responsible for our own success or failure.
As for me, “I WILL NOT BE DENIED!” That’s my Mindset.
Great Post, As Always,
Mike

Hi Michael,
You make a good point – even if someone is to blame, how does that move one forward? It doesn’t we have to do it.
“I will not be denied” – That is awesome!! Think I will borrow that as a mantra too if you don’t mind?

I love equations, let’s see ( O + M ) * Y = S
If Y = 0 what do you get

Now why did I just know you would be an equations man?? Ha ha:) I guess if it was as absolute as solving equations more people would get it??

Hi Marcus,
You hit it right on here. However, isn’t that what most people in this business do? Looking for someone to blame their failure on instead of going out and find a solution for their success?
Let’s stop playing the ‘blame game’ and go out and make it happen.

Hi Ilka,
Yes exactly and I know because I did it too at first until I worked out that the only common thread in all my blaming was me!
I love using “If it is to be, it’s up to ME” – so powerful!

Really enjoyed reading it! Everything you said is very true. You can give two people a $100 bill. One will spend it and the other will invest it…same goes with business.

MLSP has some great training. If you are not involved I suggest you get involved.
The power and control is in the decision a person makes. They either want to really achieve success for themselves or they want to wait around for someone to hand it to them.
The answer to this will will determined what the person will do to get the knowledge and tools and whether or not they will apply what they know.

Thanks for writing another inspiring article. It’s an excellent reminder to me of why I’m in the business and what I should be striving for. Sometimes I wondered why others failed while I and many like me succeed. You’re right. It comes down to the individual. Wishing you much more success.

Your post said it perfectly! But with the environment I grew up, it’s different. It’s always that strike where others will and what other won’t do. Thus, I developed this notion that I’d prefer to go with those people that strive and want to achieve success. Those people who will do everything no matter what it will take them, for them to be later called as victors of the game.
