I’ve been doing a lot of spring cleaning around my house just lately and my network marketing Internet business has not escaped the broom. There’s still a bit to do but since today is the first day of Spring in the Southern hemisphere, I thought it would make a good blog post topic.
Before you breathe a sign of relief because you live up North, I want you to know that….
It’s Always a Good Time To Spring Clean Your Network Marketing Internet Business
The time of year is not much of a factor because frankly our businesses can become become ‘clogged up’ at any time.
When they do, we have to do some eliminating and reorganizing so that we can let go of that which no longer serves us. This creates space to let in ‘the new’ so that we can grow some more.
Here are Five Ways to Spring Clean your Network Marketing Internet Business
| 1 | Are you on track with your business goals? If not, why not? Are you doing what you must to do on a daily basis to achieve these? What can you change? Do you need new goals? What are you spending money on every month for business? Do these costs support your goals or do you need to make some cuts? Your goals provide the map for your business and must be the first stop on any spring cleaning mission. |

Do you have to belong to all the email lists you’re on? Nothing wastes more time than getting lost in a plethora of emails every day. Whatever your number, reduce them by half. Prioritize these by staying on lists you regard as essential right now. These would be the emails you read and act on regularly without fail. |
| 3 | How tidy and organized is your computer? Are you keeping documents and files you never look at and know you never will? If so delete them. Streamline your filing system including your site bookmarks so that it’s easy to find what you use on a daily basis. Consider using Microsoft OneNote, a software package for free form information gathering. It’s a bit like a computerized notebook and very useful. |

Have you completed and implemented all the training you’ve already purchased? Before you buy additional programs to add to the pile, ask yourself whether you can do more to apply what you’ve already learned. Next, if you have incomplete or untouched training, create an action plan to work through what you have first. |
| 5 | What’s the status of your existing team members? How many of them are on the way to becoming ‘drift wood’ through choice and how many genuinely need your help to improve? Send your team a questionnaire and devise a plan to develop those members who can and want to achieve more. Know where you stand with everybody. Manage your team. It’s in your and their best interests. |
No doubt there are other areas for consideration when it comes to a network marketing Internet business Spring clean so of you can add to these, please leave me a comment. Also I would appreciate it if you could share this post with your followers too. Thank you.
My goal? Helping you achieve yours.

Hey Marcus
I love Microsoft OneNote.
I use it to save news articles and anything else that can help me with a blog post.
Especially when I am researching.
As for all of the other tips, yeah yeah I will clean up tomorrow

Hey Peter…
I have to say I rely very heavily on OneNote. It has got rid of all those piles of handwritten notes.
Thanks for the comment.

Hi Marcus,
Money tips here, thanks for sharing. I followed #5 yesterday. Remember that some need a little extra push to succeed while others are more apt to be self-starters. By engaging with a questionnaire the ball is in your team member’s court and most tend to respond to direct questions.

Hi Ryan,
Awesome to read your thoughts about team members. I believe we have a responsibility to engage with them even if they aren’t with us (within reason of course – we are busy too) since we are the leaders and know what they don’t yet.
The fact that you do this puts you in a enviable class of leadership Ryan. Well done but no surprises there.
Thanks for leaving your comment.

Hey Marcus,
Wow, a couple of those really hit home. I just did a little spring cleaning of documents and desktop clutter a few days ago. Whew, that was overdue.
I’ve had to think about your #4 before. “Okay, this sounds great, but maybe I should get through the last course and put it into action before jumping on this one…”
Great post!

P.S. Hey, we’ll be in Sydney next week. What you up to?

Hi Susanna..
Nothing like a good old spring clean yeah??
I am always amazed at how quickly I collect “stuff” that I think I will have time to look at in the future but most times this never happens. I think there’s a lesson to be learned there for me!
Great that you are in Sydney next week. Maybe we can catch up for a coffee and chat?
Will have to find out where you are staying and when. I am speaking at a conference next week on two days but am sure we can find a way. Let’s do it by email.

These are great tips, Marcus! I’ve been doing Spring Cleaning in a lot of areas of my life lately, many offline which is why I’m so behind on commenting!
One thing that I still need to do is to clean out my computer. I’ve been weeding out the blogs on my RSS reader because it takes so much time to go through all of the blog posts. It’s a good exercise because it really helps me to prioritize and look at my goals!

Hi Stacy,
Great to have you visit again.:) It is amazing how quickly one builds up clutter. You are right though, spring cleaning helps one focus on priorities.

Spring maybe the perfect time to reassess your goals and objectives on your business. This time of the year is the most busiest season for business because the people are out and have time to enjoy a good sun light.
