    Great video Marcus,

Awesome automation tip. Love the attitude of sharing and supporting each others content… I also use Twitterfeed to share a few blogs, I may add a few more to the list after watching this (yours perhaps?!)

One thing I found is that setting Twitterfeed to just Tweet the title, rather than title and description, can be neater. Long descriptions simply get cut off after a few words… I suppose that could be a good teaser though!

Thanks for putting this one up, let’s share the sharing!

    Hi Jym,

Great to hear you use this site too and thanks for the tip about tweeting just the title. I can see how this would be a better way to go.

Yes sharing is what it’s all about and so I am off to do the same for you right now! :)

  4. Marcus, while I have a Twitter account with a small & slowly growing following, I have not really used it for any substantive form of marketing or any other reason for that matter.

I guess that I just haven’t worked out how it could benefit me & incorporating the whole thing into my already busy day just seems to be adding fuel to the fire!

But, your video has given me some food for thought…

Perhaps I should be taking a closer look at Twitter?!

    Hi Michael,

I know what you mean about Twitter. I actually have a growing following (11 000 odd) on Twitter which really has just been developing over time without much input from me.

I am also busy enough without spending too much time on Twitter but I have to say that if one can automate intelligently as this site allows one to do then I am all for it.

Using this tool will be a good way to add to your Twitter routine without much effort Michael so when you have time (what?? LOL) give it a go.

    Thanks for your comment.

  12. HI Marcus,

I’m a twitter feed fan as well and publish several of my favorite blogs automatically through it every day.

One tip that I have to suggest is to add “RT @Marcus_Baker” or “via @Marcus_Baker” to the post prefix or post suffix (not both) for example so that the blog owner knows I’m tweeting their posts and so that the people reading it know who wrote it.

It’s been very effective for me since I started to do it!

I would also suggest that someone wanting to use twitter feed makes sure that the person’s content they are syndicating is of high value. Usually by reading a couple of weeks of posts you can get a great feel if it’s the type of content you’d be proud to share. It will also help you to determine if the writer is someone you trust to share great information that will educate, entertain, and enlighten your audience without tons of pitching and promoting of products and services that may feel like spam to your followers.

    Thanks for the great video!

    Hi Heather,

Thank you so much for adding to this post Heather. I agree with you about choosing content to tweet carefully.

Also that is a very valuable tip about adding to the prefix or suffix advanced settings. I have changed mine immediately as I am sure others who read this will do too.

I just love how we are able to all learn from each other. :)

Thanks for the heads up about this invaluable tool. It’s all about making the most use out of your content, and this is one tool that can definitely get the buzz out there in twitter land about the content you’re creating.

I just set mine up yesterday and I’m very glad I did. It can really expand your brand and reputation on Twitter.
