No doubt you have heard about The Unified Tribe since it’s been a fairly well promoted “MLM product” by some high profile marketers on the Internet recently.
In short it’s an online attraction marketing tool to assist you with spreading your content on the net so you can get more traffic to your site and hopefully increase your leads too.
I have to be honest with you, as much as I like Katie Freiling, my plan was to wait and see before spending more money. As marketers we have to stick to budgets and be sensible right?
Then I heard about what happened to a fellow marketing colleague of mine, Yo Le.
He was telling another good friend of mine, Jordan Schultz that he was averaging around 50-70 visitors to his blog in a day and that although he wanted more traffic he had not focused on it. He wondered whether The Unified Tribe” would help with this.
Just 5 hours later he Skyped Jordan again telling him that he had joined the tribe and had got around 400 visitors in under 2 hours and 15 MLM leads with less than 15 minutes of work. Wow, anybody will have to agree that this is impressive.
Did this mean everybody who joined The Unified Tribe would get the exact same results?
No definitely not. There are a lot of factors involved like how wide your sphere of influence already is, how often you have shared other’s content, the time of day you posted to the tribe, the number of times you posted, how good your content is in the first place and what kind of offer you have for people.
The question I had was rather what would it mean to me if I could improve my numbers sufficiently enough using a system that would also save me time?
To put it bluntly, it meant enough to make me change my mind about waiting.
I decided it was worth testing out for myself. If it really didn’t do enough for me then I could always let it go after the first month. However I want to point out to you right now that you must give anything you try a good 90 days before making up your mind about it.
Okay so a month and 90 days is a lot longer than a few days and time will tell but I want to at least share with you in this MLM review what I’ve experienced so far.
I don’t always like citing actual numbers mainly because people always think that they will achieve the same results but if you have a look at the graph below taken from my WordPress stats, I think it tells the story very clearly. I have had a significant increase in traffic to my blog since signing up.
Why is there is a dip in the middle?
That was the day I was fighting Trojans on my computer so there was no time for The Unified Tribe. This just goes to show that you can’t just sign up for services and expect that you don’t have to take any action.
Do I think it’s worth your time and investment?
Based on my own experiences and from what I have been hearing from others, yes, but ultimately you are the one who must decide how you would feel to get an increase of traffic for your mlm business and what the value of that will be to you.
Katie launched the site with a special which meant paying $25 rather than the usual $67 for the first month but you will need to go to The Unified Tribe to see whether this still applies.
The principle is pretty simple really…
There is a massive amount of value in having a group of people help spread your content, than you trying to do it yourself. Not only will you learn a great deal from reading other’s blogs but you will also meet some really awesome friends along the way. It’s the relationships that mean the most to one personally.
Are there any no cost tribes to join?
I belong to a few informal no cost tribes which you could check out. Firstly I have my own tribe on Facebook, the MLM Alphas Tribe. I also belong to the MLM Global Mastermind Tribe.
Then there is the “The Better Bunch” over at JasonBetter.com, where you will meet an awesome crowd of people and another meeting place you can look at is ThatMLMBeat.com.
I suggest you find a group of people with whom you resonate, become part of that tribe and contribute value there. The great benefit of The Unified Tribe is that the process has been systematized which will save you a great deal of time while having the potential to get your content exposed very widely.
>>>> Have you had any tribe experiences to share and what it has done for you and your content? I’d love to hear about these so please leave me a comment.
It would be awesome if you could “Bookmark & Share” share this post. for me. Be assured that I will do the same for you. This is an industry where those who help each other benefit the most. Thank you.
My goal? Helping you achieve yours.

Marcus,
Funny I joined the tribe with the same notions that you did. I decided I would try it and see what the results were. To be honest I just got my new blog up and running in the last week but I have saw a dramatic increase in the number of visits. So while I will hold the “tribe” on trial for a period of time it is bringing some great traffic to my site so far!

Hi Marcus,
I’ve been asked about The Unified Tribe by some of my team. I’ll be sure to pass along this info to them.
Would you say it’s more geared for bloggers than those who don’t blog? One person that asked doesn’t have a blog.
Thanks for the review!

Hi Susanna,
People share videos and articles as well as blog posts. As long as you have content that you want to drive traffic to, The Unified Tribe is a great tool to use. I guess having a blog means you can maximize one’s subscription though.

Hi Marcus,
Not understanding what social media or most of the acronyms that I hear like MLM, PPC was in the first place, I also joined the “Unified Tribe” to engage in some active learning. Even my Blog in it’s infancy was doomed recently as I deleted everything from my server and had to start again. I had a Twitter account and a Facebook account but after six months of using both still had no followers and was barely able to understand what I was supposed to do. However since being part of this community for a little over two weeks I now have 30 followers!

Hey Pete,
Welcome and thanks for your comment.
Awesome to hear how The Unified Tribe has helped you so far.
I am sure you will go from strength to strength now with your online endeavors. Shout if I can help you in any way too. I know just how much of a minefield online marketing can be.
Pity you couldn’t earn RPs but maybe you can share it when you get home? The more people we can help to make a decision about the UT the better as not only will they help themselves but they will also contribute to the bigger picture of making the UT better.
I had better tell everybody what RPs are – “Reciprocity Points” which you get for sharing other’s content on the UT. You have to earn these before you can post your own content. You earn them by sharing other’s content first. Then when you post your content it costs you 5 RPs to do so. Another reason why I love the UT. I believe strongly in giving to receive.

PS I am locked out of Twitter, FB and SU during the day by our IT department so I can’t even share this (Which I would have done) so no RP points for me!

Pete,
I am also locked out of many sites because of our proxy. However, I am an I.T. nerd so I create an SSH tunnel and point my browser to it as a SOCKS proxy. It has an added benefit of encrypting all of your internet traffic so no one knows where you are going on the internet. In fact, it doesn’t look like you went anywhere at all. You’re such a hard worker.

Hey Marcus,
I was on the fence about the Unified Tribe, sounded
cool but just was not sure with everything I have
going on.
The emails I received from you and Jordan really
pushed me over the fence. I am really glad I made
that decision, my blog traffic has nearly
doubled and have met some cool people so far.
It was also good to connect with you on the
site within our own tribes.
Great review, well worth it!

However sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and check things out for yourself eh? Please to hear you are having such outstanding results. As long as it can compliment what we are already doing then I believe we are on to a winner!

Hey Marcus,
I must have been hiding under a rock, because this is the first I have heard about the Unified Tribe.
There was me thinking I was on the pulse of the traffic sources that pop up! (ha)
Anyway, sounds interesting, definitely worth a closer look, it sounds like a formalized version of the “better bunch” in a way
Ok, thanks for this.

It is a more formal tribe and of course on a much larger scale but I guess what interested me most was the system’s large scale capability to make content go viral.

Creating valuable content that people actually want to read and share is still a huge part of our success..

Hey Marcus,
Jordan shared this post with me. Great points you made. I think many people were in the “wait and see” mode because there are a variety of other methods to build a tribe without a fee. For me, the platform of the Unified Tribe will save me a ton of time. All the syndication is in one place, it’s a great place to form a closer tribe, and to gather new content.
Thanks for sharing this!

Hey Marcus,
Great to hear your thoughts.
I joined UT last week and am not yet qualified to comment on traffic, visitors etc as I haven’t yet made time to participate.
Having said that, this morning I gained access to the UT Ning community and spend quite a bit of time going through entire groups and checking out peoples blogs etc.
Here is what I found…
In one particular group, I would estimate that under 50% of blogs had any plugins or widgets to allow anyone to syndicate their content. Since then I’ve connected with a few of these people on skype and when I asked their reasons for joining, overwhelmingly the reply was to meet people and learn.
So that got me thinking about the sustainability for newbies as, as you pointed out above, there are lots of awesome forums to hang out in and learn from that are free.
I think if you are already quite established with your blog then there would be a huge amount of value to stay in the community. If you are just starting out however, UT is not designed to ‘teach’ you everything you need to know to get going.
Also as with many new communities, there is often an initial buzz which later tapers off. This means that by the time some people are completely set up, they will have lost the initial chance to have people join all of their social widgets.
Just my thoughts from my experience today
Oh and I shouldn’t end this without saying I’ve already made some great contacts in the Ning community!

Hello Michaelé,
Nice to have you visit and what a fantastic and well constructed comment. I am sure it will be very useful to many readers.
You make some very interesting points here Michaelé based on your findings. Hopefully the weekly webinars will go some way to helping newbies get up to scratch but I agree with you that to get most benefit from the UT one will need to be well established when it comes to one’s content. There is also another factor and that is one needs to be able to produce sufficient content of value to share or it may not be worth the cost either.
As you say time will tell whether this is a worthwhile service to use in the long term. Things change so quickly on the net so I am sure there will continue to be something new to entice people down other avenues.
I agree with you that it is a great place to create relationships which is after all more important than just clicking on share buttons.
Make sure you check out Michaelé’s post about plug ins especially if you are new to blogging.

There seems to be a wide range of different blogs on the site that I have not seen before so we will have to see and keep testing it.
