There’s a right way and a wrong way to monetize your  network marketing blog.

The purpose of your blog is to “promote you” not vomit your products and services at every poor unsuspecting visitor.

Why should strangers visiting your blog  be dying to take out their credit cards? They won’t be.

It might happen from time to time but it’s highly unlikely. There’s no good reason why they should because…

People buy from those they know, like and trust!

Having a blog positions you perfectly to make this happen through what is known as  attraction marketing. When you have built a relationship with someone then there is a very good chance that they will buy from you down the line. Just as it takes time for a good friendship to develop between people, so the same is true when it comes to business relationships

Nobody likes to be sold to!

Make sure your network marketing blog is not a sales page disguised as a blog.  If you must inform people about the mlm products and services you use, then instead of having endless banner ads screaming at people, put these on a separate resources page and provide value on the page about why you recommend these tools.

If your blog “vomits BUY ME!”… there’s a good chance people will not stay to see what you have to offer or they won’t come back again and you will have lost a potential customer for life.

Monetize your blog subtly

Do this by writing balanced and useful mlm product reviews and reviews about mlm companies which link to the products you recommend.

When you write a post and refer to a product  or service you use, link the word to that product or service so if someone wants to find out more they can click on the word and be taken to the site in a new window.

Use your blog as an entry point to your marketing funnel

Ideally use your blog to capture people’s details so that they can be added to your list building activities from where you can develop an ongoing relationship with them through email marketing.

The most efficient way to do this is to have an organized marketing funnel into which people can be added.

This starts with providing them with a free gift of value in return for their contact details. Then as you provide further value, so you drip feed them information about products and services you are using which they will need to use anyway. As they learn to trust you so they will buy these via your recommendations over time.

Creating a marketing funnel on your own is possible but why re-invent wheel?

Setting up a network marketing online business is no different to setting up any  kind of business. Why then do so many choose a route that is destined to fail? Let me show you what I mean -

Learning from my Grandfather…

When I was 16, my grandfather announced he was going to open a “Fine Furnishings” store. The next weeks and months were spent defining exactly what his store would look like, the market to be targeted, the right name for the store, what style the store would represent and how this would be communicated. In short, the store brand was defined so that it would be unique and consequently stand out from all other similar stores.

While the location of the store was carefully researched and chosen, work started on resourcing the shop fittings and a company to take care of the physical builds. Meanwhile my grandfather worked on marketing plans, deciding how he was going to promote his store. Of course back then this was mostly via direct response advertising but he still had to research the different advertising mediums available and their costs. He also had to learn the skill of copy-writing because there was no budget for an agency to handle this.

He put systems into place to ensure the smooth running of the store which included customer service, inventory and accounting processes. At the same time he went on buying trips from time to time so that he could find the products he wanted to sell in his store. Some of these were small, others bigger and a lot more expensive. Those selected were ordered and stored in preparation for the grand opening.

Eventually the day arrived when he could open the store doors and showcase the amazing variety of furnishings he had sourced from all over the world. He went on to become hugely successful, opening three more stores in time.

Can you see the logical process he followed?

Established brand  → Learned how to market and systematize   → Added the products and opened for business

Enter the network marketing online professional…..

who often does this all back to front. They find an opportunity which they love so they make this the focal point of their business. The problem is thousands of others are doing the exact same thing. They do their level best to sell their company and product and they can’t understand why nobody is interested.

Someone tells them that they need to have a unique online presence so they do their best to create a personal brand to fit in with what they are doing but it’s not that easy. Why? They are impatient because they must make money and soon.

This is not going to happen however because they still don’t know how to market themselves. The reason being that network marketing companies are self serving and only teach people to market their opportunity and products. It is a fact that the majority of people who market in this way are never successful.

Unfortunately the emotional hype that got them into the opportunity wears off, they blame everyone and everything for their failure and drop out.

A Different way?

The truth of the matter is that there is a way to emulate this offline process to help yourself to success online too. This is exactly how I teach people to become successful online. Follow these steps in this order.

Step 1 - Make your business about you first. Start with creating your brand so that you can stand out from the masses online. A brand is personal and values driven and will influence your every business decision  going forward.  It’s not complicated because all you must do is define what makes you different to anybody else and represent this online by way of a blog and social media presence. This is your equivalent to having a store.

Step 2 - Learn how to market and how to set up your business systems. Fortunately there are very effective generic systems that have been developed to help you do this.  You want a system that will teach you marketing and equip you with the tools to market.

If you use the system I recommend which is My Lead System Pro then you will also be given affiliate products to start marketing so that you can apply the skills you learn and start earning money before you even join a network marketing company.

While you’re learning these skills  you’ll be taught how to pass these on to others who have come on board after you and who will be hungry for information. This helps you to build relationships with people who will want to be associated with you. You will become the authority to others and they will be attracted to you. This is what is known as attraction marketing.

Step 3 - Now you are ready to start looking around for a network marketing company which is the big ticket in your income stream portfolio. Because you have set yourself up for success, now it’s simply a matter of applying what you have learned on a consistent basis and you will be as successful as you want to be. How long will this process take? As quickly as you put in the effort required to learn what you must. Does it really matter how long it takes when you understand that by doing this you are investing in yourself and your future success rather than just hoping things will work out?

What is the one overriding factor that will determine whether you sell more pink fluffy pig slippers than me? Is it being with the right MLM company or knowing how to market? Neither!

There is one truth I have come to know about network marketing without a doubt  and that is, it does not matter what business you’re in or what marketing methods you’re using, you WILL require what some refer to as the right mindset to be successful.

I don’t think the word, “mindset’ comes anywhere close to expressing what’s required. It’s more a case of  sheer mental toughness! Without this you will never make it through the challenges that are a necessary part of the journey to success.

Of course it would be in your best interests to have some mental toughness before you start in business but  chances are you will need to develop a whole lot more anyway. How do you do this? By undertaking to study personal development. Fortunately for me I’m  aligned with a primary income stream whose market is personal development so I’m able to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

But what do you do if you’re in a company that sells nutritional products, travel or anything else actually? It’s pretty simple, you must study personal development elsewhere. I might be daft but doesn’t this sound like a business double cost ? No I’m  not pitching my business to you, just trying to get you to think things through clearly.

The great thing about free enterprise is the word, FREE! If you want to sell pink fluffy pig slippers, all power to you and if you have the mental toughness required and know how to market, there’s every chance you could make a whole lot more money than me too.

Personal development is huge industry  of its own today. You could spend a fortune on your development in this field but what if you can’t afford to? Fortunately there are ‘no’ and ‘low’ cost options. Here are a few ideas to help you:

Type “Free Personal Development” into Google and as of today you’d get back 262,000 results! Surely you’d be able to find some useful material in amongst that lot?

Look out for celebrity promotions. An excellent one is Oprah Winfrey’s  Are you ready to be awakened? featuring the book,  A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. The book will cost you $10 and Oprah provides absolutely free, a workbook and recorded webcasts to help you work through the material.What a bargain!

Some personal development speakers who conduct face to face events often provide a full weekend’s training for free. Of course they sell products at these functions but you don’t have to buy these.  You will definitely get some value from attending a full weekend conference. They can’t spend the whole time in infomercial mode!

Bloggers often offer free personal development bonuses on their sites. Two of my business partners, Jordan Schultz and Vitaliy Dubinin do  just this. Go and take a look.

Hopefully by now you have realized that it’s essential to use an effective generic marketing system outside of what your company offers to market your business. Some of these and most definitely the Attraction Marketing System I use, offer personal development as part of their webinar meetings and training library.

If you prefer face to face personal development programs then check out your local community college. These frequently offer excellent, low cost local courses on various subjects.

Remember this though….  you can learn about the equipment and rules to do with playing tennis as  much as you like but the only way you’ll know if you can play is if you get out there and do it. The same holds for business personal development. You can read as many books as you like and attend one seminar after another but none will provide you with a magic wand. You must get out there and with the help of what you have learned, face your fears and the challenges until you overcome them.

Easy MLM? ‘Easy’ meaning requiring no great labor or effort. I don’t believe such a thing exists however before you click away from this post in disgust  and rush off to find the  magic elsewhere, let me say that I do believe there’s an easier way to be successful in MLM and by the end of this post I’ll help you to know exactly what it is you must do to jump-start your business so you can start achieving the success you want.

First you need to understand that you will only ever apply the valuable information I’m going to share with you if you give up chasing “easy MLM” and you’ll only do this when you understand why continuing with this madness is a total waste of your time and money.

Nothing makes me more angry than when I come across people in our industry who proclaim how easy MLM is – what a load of old codswallop! If it was, how come only 3% of those who get involved ever become successful? If it was, how come everybody else hasn’t given up their jobs to have MLM businesses so they can laze around on paradise beach with all the money and time in the world? If it was, how come you’re reading this post?

The sooner you accept that anything worth pursuing that you don’t  already know how to do (like being successful in MLM) is going to involve learning outside your comfort zone, the sooner you’ll allow yourself to face it and get on with it. This process means YOU WILL encounter challenges and only when you have overcome these will you have gathered the experience  required to know how to do whatever it is you have been learning to do. It does not matter whether you want to learn a new language, learn to play a musical instrument, climb Mt Everest or become successful in MLM, the process is the same. Can you do it? Of course you can as long as you don’t expect unrealistic results in an unrealistic time frame. 

Get this guys…… what’s easy for one person is not necessarily easy for another. We are all unique individuals and even if you are capable of learning the skills to do something you will also have to apply these consistently to achieve success. Doing this is another matter all together because applying skills depends on your own unique nature and unfortunately this part often lets us down until we learn how to manage our emotions and unconscious behavior. This is not easy! It takes time, effort and persistence. Remember too that everything is easy when you already know how to do it but that does not mean it’s easy before you know how to do it.

MLM is simple but it’s not easy! What I mean is that learning how to do it is not complicated but applying what you learn is challenging.   So what then will make it easier?

• Treat your business like a business and not a hobby or lottery ticket. Commit time and effort to it.
• Work on yourself by doing as much personal development as you can. Think about aligning yourself with an MLM company that markets personal development. This way you’ll get the personal development you need without necessarily having to spend additional money. This will equip you to deal with the challenges ahead and you’ll also develop yourself into the leader you must become to be successful.
• Use a simple but effective non company specific, Internet based marketing system that you can plug your team into so they can become successful as soon as possible. Using the leveraging power of the Internet is a far easier way to attract leads than using offline strategies. This system must provide training, customizable marketing tools, sorting and management of leads and  a way for you to fund your business even before anybody joins your primary income opportunity.  Using a system like this will mean you won’t run out of leads or money to operate your business

First up let me  state that I am not aligned with CieAura  in any way or form, I simply want to offer an objective review to help those who are considering this opportunity. To make a better judgment about this let’s consider some further information about the company.

Part of  the Health, Wellness and Fitness MLM category, they are based in Las Vegas in the US. According to their website they are ‘dedicated to developing a solid international base in multiple countries.’ This is a significant statement since any company worth considering as a business must be planning for and be capable of expansion to ensure sufficient growth in the long term. As a new company in the industry, those who join CieAura and who are committed to staying with them as they grow are more likely to make money over time.

This company is privately owned and headed by founder and CEO, Ken Rasner. He appears to come from a solid network marketing background and has surrounded himself with a team offering varied and extensive business experience. Establishing a strong leadership base at the corporate level is essential, however just as important is whether CieAura can attract enough top distributors who understand not only how to be successful in network marketing but who  are capable and willing to coach others to the same success. One will be more likely to make money if one can follow in the footsteps of successful field leaders.

CieAura distribute Transparent Holographic chipsTM, described as computer programmed holograms which combine age old Homeopathic processes in a 21^st century delivery system. This being a system of non invasive, simple decals applied to the body or clothing and which are reported to bring the human body into balance. By doing this they enable the body to function at a higher level of health allowing it to effectively repair and heal itself in many cases. It ‘s important to note that the products are not indicated to treat or cure any specific disease and that individual results will vary depending on numerous personal and environmental factors.

While no MLM products can in themselves guarantee that one will make money from promoting them, when products fulfill certain criteria they are more likely to assist one to be successful. In the case of CieAura, the products are unique and interesting but whether there will be enough mass appeal for these to create the required volume will only emerge with time. It is more likely that a distributor with an interest in alternative health will be better positioned to make money with this company as they will be passionate about and believe in what they are promoting.

These MLM products will also play a crucial role during the early stages of a new distributor’s membership. Unless the products offer the distributor far more value than the cost, they are unlikely to stay with the company long enough to become successful. This value is totally subjective which is why these products and opportunity must be targeted to a group who have an interest in this area of health and who will naturally have a high regard for this niche.

Ultimately anybody who is able to recruit, train and keep successful distributors in their team will be able to make money with CieAura. This is not dependent on the company but the skill of each individual distributor and this only comes with much education and experience.

As a rule I have not found that MLM companies are able to offer generic marketing training at an advanced enough level to assist the majority of new distributors to make money. If you are fortunate enough to be mentored by someone in this company who can provide you with this education then you will learn how to make money as long as you don’t give up too soon.

Anybody else is better off seeking this education independently and any distributor who learns how to market their business like a professional will have major advantages over most CieAura distributors.
