6 Reasons to Connect With People On Facebook That Have Nothing To Do With Your Business Opportunity
Facebook marketing is regarded by many as one the best network marketing strategies to use to create a successful Internet marketing business.
That is if you understand that the potential for networking extends far beyond recruiting for your home business network marketing opportunity.
To be honest the reason why it’s such a gold mine is because the vast majority of network marketing entrepreneurs don’t have a clue about how to maximize its potential which means those of us who do are at a distinct advantage.
The fact of the matter is that there are a whole lot more reasons for building relationships on Facebook that have nothing to do with business opportunities.
I’m sure like me you have had countless “must get involved, time sensitive, opportunity of the century” type pitches come your way.
Some ‘vomit’ these on you the moment you connect with them as “friends”.
Others take the time to ask questions first but often these are questions they don’t really want to know the answers to or worse still, had they bothered to check your profile in the first place there would have been no need to ask the questions anyway.
My friend and fellow marketer, Twila Jacobs created a great video post about this recently which is well worth taking a look at.
Then there are the exceptions….
…those people who understand the value in creating genuine relationships with the goal of getting to know each other unconditionally.
The masses who ‘drop you’ the moment you tell them you don’t need their opportunity miss out on the following.
6 other reasons why it’s worthwhile growing relationships on Facebook:
- To have the opportunity to help others just for the sake of helping them.
- To practice relationship building which is the foundational skill required for success in network marketing.
- To practice being a leader, and thereby increasing your visibility and credibility as an expert in your niche.
- To mastermind with other professionals in the industry.
- To research your niche. Facebook users give up mass amounts of information about themselves. You can research your niche demographics easily, also finding out about the problems others are having which you can then use in your own marketing.
- Being positioned to work with others in joint ventures down the line.

It would be awesome if you could “Bookmark & Share” share this post. for me. Be assured that I will do the same for you. This is an industry where those who help each other benefit the most. Thank you.
